Paralegal
PARALEGAL
DUTIES:
1. Provide close and direct support to attorneys involved in administrative and civil litigation connected with the business of the North Carolina Real Estate Commission.
2. Draft notices of hearing, routine pleadings, motions and orders in licensing and civil cases.
3. Coordinate and prepare witnesses, perform research, write legal memoranda, organize, summarize and prepare physical and documentary evidence, and coordinate discovery in both administrative and civil litigation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from a certified school for paralegal training and one year of experience as a paralegal; or graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in English, journalism, or a degree directly related to the area assigned and one year of substantive paralegal experience; or graduation from high school and five years of paralegal experience performing delegated, substantive legal work or an equivalent combination of training and experience. To serve under the general supervision of an attorney for a state agency. Graduation from a certified school for paralegal training and one year of experience as a paralegal.
Salary $34,900 - $41,800 depending on experience, plus benefits. Must reside in Raleigh area.
