Customer Service Representative
Wisconsin Rapids Water Works and Lighting Commission, a municipally-owned electric and water utility, is looking for an enthusiastic applicant to fill the position of Customer Service Representative.
As a customer service representative, you will have front line responsibility of interacting and communicating with utility customers and staff. This position is responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism with customers to assist in billing and collection questions, process customer payments and complaints, and maintain customer records. This position will work 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
Ideal candidates will possess a strong aptitude for customer service, excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as extensive knowledge of Word, Excel, and accounting software. Possession of a valid driver’s license and a good driving record is required. Knowledge of utility billing systems and PSC regulations is desirable. Two years of customer service along with an advanced degree or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred, but not required.
The selected applicant must successfully pass a physical including drug screen and a reference and background investigation.
