ASE Certified Master Auto Technician Immediate Opening
A growing, fast-paced automotive repair facility in Watauga TX has an excellent an immediate opportunity for an experienced ASE Certified Automotive Technician!!
- As an ASE Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance services including vehicle inspection and preventive safety checks for autos and light trucks.
- Other related services will include general repair, lubrication and oil filter services.
- Technicians must have the ability to perform heavy line repairs as well as general repairs.
- Qualified candidates are required to have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license and related automotive experience.
- Punctual and faithful work attendance is required along with a strong worth ethic.
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, some post-secondary automotive training, at least one year of dealer-level or large facility experience, and certification by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). An unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record, a strong technical performance record, and strong physical dexterity and stamina to get the job done are required. He or she must be able to work productively in a fast-paced team environment and must have a positive attitude, prompt attendance, professional appearance, and great communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnoses issues based on experience, analysis, and testing.
- Performs routine service inspections or tests and completes standard maintenance jobs.
- Repairs automobiles and light trucks as assigned.
- Maintains cleanliness of vehicles while performing service or repairs.
- Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards.
- Helps maintain shop appearance and safety standards and ensures the shop runs in an efficient manner by performing duties such as inventory stocking and other general tasks.
- Follows all shop policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Post-secondary automotive training or equivalent work experience would be a plus
- One year of dealer-level or aftermarket facility experience preferred
- ASE certification (Master Technician would be ideal)
- Broad scope of automotive mechanical/electrical knowledge
- Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
- Can drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
- Neat, clean, and professional appearance
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff
- Basic computer and internet skills (Alldata, Mitchell, Identifix, etc.)
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
European and Diesel experience is a definite bonus!
TX State Inspector's License (or willingness to obtain) is preferred!

Hours are 8AM - 6PM weekdays and 9AM - 3PM Saturdays (You may choose a 5 or 6 day work week.)
Compensation is based on experience, education, ASE certification, skills and other qualifications.
