Human Resources Business Analyst
Washington State University’s (WSU) Modernization Initiative seeks detail-oriented, skilled Human Resources Business Analysts to assist WSU on an exciting journey to implement Workday enterprise software for human resources, payroll, and finance. The successful candidates will have a broad spectrum of functional human resources (HR) skills.
Incumbents play a pivotal role in analyzing, monitoring, and implementing process improvement initiatives, which includes preparation for, and implementation of, Workday enterprise software. Duties include project management, recommending process improvement, data identification and analysis for moving to a new enterprise system, and preparing personnel for new systems and updates, including post go-live.
Incumbents must use critical judgment to interpret and apply rules and regulations, as well as State and University policies. Incumbents must be self-motivated and work well independently. Incumbents serve as expert resources for department customers on policies, procedures, and best practices in one of the following areas: Faculty/academic personnel processes, absence management, or Human Capital Management (HCM). HCM includes but is not limited to on-boarding, classification and compensation for multiple employee types, personnel actions and processes, and employee records management (I-9 system administration, records retention, and electronic records management).
The modernization initiative is an evolving project where all team members are expected to be hands on in the day-to-day activities. All team members are expected to be able to tolerate high levels of change, juggle competing priorities, request and accept work assignments from a variety of individuals.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
