We need someone who can:  

▪ Inspect and perform maintenance on Cessna Corvalis (formerly Columbia 350/400) aircraft and other  models as needed. 

▪ Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance with an extreme level of detail. ▪ Systematically troubleshoot aircraft systems to accurately diagnose issues. 

▪ Give paperwork and other administrative areas of the job the same attention and detail that they use  when working on an aircraft. 

▪ Understand that our customers put their lives and the lives of their family and friends in our hands  each time they purchase an aircraft or bring an aircraft in for service. 

▪ Working closely with Inspectors, accurately complete work orders, write log entries and ensure all  aircraft that leave our repair station have the required paperwork completed. 

The perfect candidate will have: 

▪ Have an “always learning attitude” and be open to constructive advice from other team members. ▪ Attention to detail 

▪ Be able to physically accomplish a job that requires them to be on their feet all day, lift heavy objects  such as engine cylinders and do it all in the weather conditions of North Texas. 

▪ Great face to face customer service skills. 

▪ An FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate with no FAA enforcement actions. ▪ A good driving record with a valid driver’s license. 

▪ Knowledge of common computer software found in an aircraft maintenance facility. ▪ Effectively work in a team and individual environments. 

▪ Experience with Cessna Aircraft 

Experience removing and reinstalling cylinders on Continental engines is a plus!  This position is located at the Arlington Municipal Airport in Arlington, TX. Arlington is in the middle  of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. Van Bortel Aircraft offers full medical benefits and 401K with  company match.
