Reporting Developer - Operations (Associate). TPG Global, LLC, Fort Worth, TX; FT(40 hrs/wk)(Must be available nights & weekends). Will work with Business and Accounting teams across the TPG Platform to analyze user needs and reporting requirements, with a focus on TPG’s systems design, database design, handling the data in the database, coding and testing of various reporting applications at TPG Global. Responsible for working in all facets of reporting development, including, data solutions development, data analysis, documenting functional and technical requirements, building user relationships, and cross-team collaboration. Will analyze, transform, model and visualize financial and accounting data, building the data solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform. Will manage multiple project workloads, develop a good understanding of the development and business processes, and identify opportunities to improve processes with supported technologies at TPG. Perform Systems Development, involving Design, Develop Test and Document Reporting and Data Solutions: work with the Business and Accounting teams to design, develop, test, and document reporting and data solutions; work in systems design, database design, handle the data in the database, coding and testing of various reporting applications; analyze, transform, model and visualize data and build data solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform; and define requirements, user stories, and development tasks. Perform After Completion of Systems Development, involving the Design and Development of User-Friendly Access, the Generation of Management Reports, and the Provision of Technical Support: collaborate with Enterprise Data Operations team to define data models and pipelines across multiple source systems; provide production support for existing reports, applications and processes; and make recommendations and contributions to further development standards and processes. Utilize Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, SQL Server Reporting Services, IBM Cognos; MS SQL Server /2012 R2/2016, 2018, Azure SQL DB, Oracle 11g, 12c, Teradata, Vertica and Snowflake; Microsoft Visio, MS Project, Microsoft Sharepoint, UML Diagrams, MS Office, HP ALM, Atlassian JIRA, Atlassian Confluence and HP ALM, and Power BI Gateway. Occasional travel is required 1-3 times per year to attend firm wide meetings in the U.S., such as TPG’s Annual Investor Conference. Position is based in Fort Worth, TX. Limited telecommuting option of 2 days per week. Min. Reqmnts: Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems (foreign educational equivalent acceptable). Must have completed Master’s level coursework in: Business Systems Analyst & Design, Enterprise Process Improvements, Business Computing Environment & Networks, Business Intelligence Applications and Tools, Internet Computing Applications, Management Information Systems Technologies, Information Technology Project Management, Fundamentals of Financial Management. At least 2 years of experience as a Software Developer. During the 2 years of experience must have worked on projects involving: the Analysis, Design, Development, Customization and Deployment of Business Intelligence Reports, Dashboards and Analytics Applications, including performing the Analysis, Design, Development and testing of Business Intelligence Reports and dashboards using Application Development Tools Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, SQL Server Reporting Services and IBM Cognos; the use of Database systems MS SQL Server 2012 R2/2016, 2018, Azure SQL DB, Oracle 11g, 12c, Teradata, Vertica and Snowflake for data ingestion, preparation for reporting, and analytics; the use of Productivity Tools Microsoft Visio, MS Project, Microsoft Sharepoint, UML Diagrams, MS Office, and HP ALM, Atlassian JIRA, Atlassian Confluence, and HP ALM; and the use of Power BI Gateway to schedule data refresh using data gateway connections.
