Job Description:
Provides complex administrative support in the coordination of operational tasks involved in the day-to-day administration of the Accounting and Legal Studies Department, assist in the development and support of numerous programmatic AACSB Accounting Accreditation efforts and initiatives, and compile needed documentation for continued accreditation. This position also provides support to the Experiential Learning Experiences for Accounting majors.

Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Academic Program Specialist in the Accounting and Legal Studies Department.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. One year of experience in administrative staff work. Prior event coordination experience preferred.
Demonstrated technological proficiency in computer skills, database management, and PeopleSoft, comprehensive understanding and troubleshooting ability for CCH ProSystem fx Engagement and Quickbooks and database management software.
Excellent interpersonal, customer service, administrative, oral and written communication skills; attention to detail; ability to plan, organize, prioritize, multi-task, be flexible and possess the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, demonstrate initiative, project a professional image, and work independently or as part of a team.
Must be flexible, professional and able to work independently or as part of a team and establish and maintain effective working relationships. Must demonstrate excellent attention to detail, have good organizational skills, and be a self-starter. Must have excellent computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation programs. Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks and assignments, prepare and track budgets. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, handle confidential and sensitive matters with tact and discretion and communicate effectively orally and in writing. The ability to identify and anticipate needs within the Department and present solutions. Prior experience coordinating large events for varied audiences.
Additional Job Information:
This is a full-time, non-exempt, State position with a full benefits package. Starting hourly rate is $22.41, which is approximately $46,736 annually.
