Salaried Position

Work hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 am- 5:00 pm

Position Description:

This position will function as the company bookkeeper and office manager. You will be responsible for handling all financial aspects of the company, including: record keeping, recording financial transactions, managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, reconciling bank statements, weekly payroll, weekly job costing reports, monthly sales tax reports, annual tax reports

Job Duties :

Sort, compile and job cost field employees’ timesheets into Excel spreadsheet daily

Input time worked by field and office employees into ADP Workforce Nowpayroll platform for processing a weekly payroll for 80 employees

Enter A/P bills in Quickbooks

Create A/R customer invoices in Quickbooks

Receive, review and apply payments for invoices received via check or bank remittance

Review and respond to daily inquiries related to A/P, A/R and Payroll

Create A/P and A/R reports in Quickbooks for Management review

Enter Job Budgets into Quickbooks for new projects and revise as needed

Create weekly Budget and Job Costing reports for Management review

Maintain accounting filing system including A/P files,A/R files, Employee files, Job files

E-verify new employees and maintain I-9 files

Generate payroll reports for annual insurance audit through ADP WorkForce Now platform

Maintain additional job costing spreadsheets as needed

Provide assistance to our CPA firm during the annual review of company’s books and tax return preparation

Make journal entries as needed

Request insurance certificates for new project starts, maintain contact list for new project starts

Pay Texas Sales Tax monthly, other jurisdictions as needed

 

Reconcile bank accounts

Generate 1099’s annually

 

Education:

Accounting degree preferred but not required

 

Qualifications:

Minimum of five years responsible accounting or bookkeeping experience, including A/P, A/R, payroll, general ledger and financial reports.

Minimum of five years experience with Quickbooks, skills will be tested

Ability to operate calculator, computer, and other general office equipment

Knowledge of regulatory requirements of processing payroll and accounting transactions

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing

Must have excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills

References and background check required

United States Work Authorization required
