Prospect Riding Center is a 501(C)(3) organization that provides therapeutic riding lessons to children and adults with special needs.
We currently serve students with a wide variety of special needs every week. Adding recreational riding for the general public. A dedicated group of volunteers help provide these lessons every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. We are looking for someone to teach about 15 hours per week total. Riding instructors are responsible for preparing lesson plans, preparing equipment and horses for daily lessons, teaching daily lessons, evaluating horses, coordinating with school and other riding groups on scheduling, working closely with the program's executive director to promote the program and support fundraising efforts. The fall riding session has begun and the position is open immediately, and we need to fill this position as soon as possible. Initially, it would be a 3-month contract, but will be renewed for another year, unless applicants fail to perform the job. Candidates must want to be part of a productive team environment that is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals living with special needs.
