DETAILS: The Chief Financial Officer will oversee and direct all finance and accounting functions for the District. Qualified candidates must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary to work with internal staff, department heads, managers, Board of Directors, and other key individuals within and outside the District. Knowledge and experience in the following areas: accounts payable; accounts receivable; payroll; purchasing; fund control; analysis; budgeting; finance; internal and external auditing; strategic planning; and financial systems software.
The successful candidate will be able to analyze situations accurately and develop an effective course of action. Planning and directing the District’s budget process is a key endeavor. The Chief Financial Officer works under the direction of the General Manager/CEO and is a member of the District’s management team.

EDUCATION: Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in accounting, finance, or closely related field; Certified Public Accountant or MBA preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in administering the fiscal operations of public agency or private organization, including three years of administrative, supervisory and management responsibility.
