Program Manager Senior (Waste Management)
SALARY
The minimum salary is $60,656.96 annually.
This is an exempt position not eligible for overtime.
Pay Grade 524.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this classification is to perform advanced level professional duties of considerable difficulty in managing a major program that is essential to the mission of an operations division within the Department of Environmental Quality & Public Works.
This classification works under administrative supervision, developing and implementing programs within organizational policies, and reports major activities to executive level administrators through conferences and reports.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor degree related to the area of assignment; and, a minimum of six (6) years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*Plans, directs, organizes, and provides oversight and supervision of program activities. Responsible for managing, tracking, analyzing and reporting program results and researching ideas for improvement to program.
*Supervises, trains and evaluates the work of subordinates.
*Represents the division and LFUCG at various internal and external meetings and assists with public functions and events.
*Maintains communication, responds to inquires from the Mayor’s office and council members, LFUCG employees, consultants and the public
Additional Duties:
- Develops and manages related grant programs, as needed.
- Prepares cost estimates, reviews proposals and develops and implements operational procedures, as needed.
- Performs related work as assigned.

Special Requirements:
- Must be able to operate Urban County Government equipment and vehicles in a safe, prudent and responsible manner.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this classification is to maintain, inspect, repair and install HVAC in LFUCG facilities in proper working condition.
This classification works under close to general supervision according to set procedures, but determines how or when to complete tasks.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED; formal training or special courses that is equivalent to satisfactory completion of one (1) year of college education or specialized advanced training in HVAC; and, a minimum of six (6) years of skilled trades experience in HVAC; or, an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Inspects, repairs, modifies, and installs the general operation of COMMERCIAL and/or RESIDENTIAL heating, air conditioning, and ventilating systems, equipment, (including compressors. thermostats, fan controls, motors, filters, and belts)
- Repairs and replaces furnace and air conditioner leaks.
- Repairs and replaces water source heat pumps, defective parts in units and equipment and their controls, including thermostats, automatic switches, fan controls, damper motors, louvers, relays, heat exchangers, pressure controls, safety valves
- Conducts regular preventative maintenance on various HVAC, and makes necessary adjustments or repairs
- Orders supplies/materials required for job; requisitions supplies/materials and inspects for quantity and quality
- Schedules work and determines priority of repair jobs according to its importance. Prepares a daily work record of jobs performed, which includes a written record of location and type of work performed
SPECIAL LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
In order to qualify and must be maintained as a condition of continued employment this position requires:
- Journeyman HVAC License -LFUCG will provide continous education.
- Universal EPA Refrigerant Technician Certification-LFUCG will provide training.
***Must obtain Bluegrass Cross Connection (backflow valve) license within the first six (6) months of employment and maintain the license as a condition of continued employment
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be available for on-call and call-back duty.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as assigned and on emergencies.
