Summer KICK Camp Counselor
Job Goal:
To advance the college's mission, vision, principles, values and strategic initiatives through continuous improvement decisions. Kirkwood is hiring 12-15 Summer KICK Camp Counselors in the Cedar Rapids and Coralville area.
GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
Currently looking for a student with any of the following skills: Elementary Education, Child Management, Summer Camp experience. Under supervision of the KICK Camp Director, the KICK Camp counselor is responsible for day to day activities that include but are not limited to: Checking in and out students in a safe, timely matter, assisting the instructor for each camp on their needs in regards to the scheduled camp, assisting with lunch breaks and transitioning of camps throughout the day.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consistently attend scheduled work shifts; Camp runs June 11th through August 3rd
- CPR certified
- Facilitate an outstanding participant experience by giving exemplary customer service.
- Greet and welcome participants.
- Effectively communicate with participants and Continuing Education Staff.
- Answer questions and provide resources as appropriate to participants.
- Perform other related work duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must pass a background check.
