Position Summary
We are currently looking for a hardworking, caring, and detail-oriented individual to join our transportation team as a Transportation Supervisor at our International District/Legacy House location. Excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude are a must. Under the supervision of the Center Manager, the Transportation Supervisor is responsible for the Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) and Legacy House transportation program, which includes: transportation of our elderly clients of the Healthy Aging and Wellness Program (HAWP), meals, durable medical equipment and medications; transportation scheduling; oversight, hiring, training and supervision of all drivers and dispatchers; ensuring compliance with transportation contract requirements and data reporting; and any other transportation as deemed necessary. The Transportation Supervisor will oversee vehicle repairs and maintenance, identify quality and cost effective vendor for vehicle repairs. This individual will also be responsible for meeting departmental budget goals.
This is a full time position, Monday through Friday.
Education and Experience Requirements
Education - High School Diploma or GED.
Experience - Minimum two years of administrative, logistics, and/or supervisory experience required. Minimum two years of experience in the transportation industry, or a related industry required. Fleet management experience highly preferred. Minimum of one year experience working with the frail and elderly population preferred. If not met, willingness to train on the complexities of serving a frail and elderly population is required.
Other Requirement(s) - Valid WA State Drivers License and safe driving record. Ability to safely operate a bus and provide back-up emergency driver coverage. Must have active CPR and First Aid Certification, or willing to obtain within one month of hire. Must be medically cleared for communicable diseases and up-to-date with all immunizations before having direct participant contact.
