Role: Glatfelter is seeking qualified candidates for a detail-oriented Analytics position supporting the Business Unit (BU) and North America (NA) Controller as well as other Finance and Fort Smith Team Members in a wide variety of roles and responsibilities for both BU reporting and analysis and Fort Smith Operations. The successful candidate will support closing the books in a timely and accurate fashion, preparing monthly quarterly/annual reports for Glatfelter and the NA BU, maintaining Internal Controls and lead the effort In the forecast and annual Business Budget process and reporting for standard margin reporting and analysis.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Commercial Analytics
- Provide monthly varlance analysis of actual standard margin for NA as compared to forecast and/or budget.
- Prepare; monthly forecast, annual budget and strategic plan of standard margins for NA.
- Provide monthly revenue recognition and reconciliation for NA.
Standard Costing
- Support creation of new product standards as required (liason with commercial, operations, supply chain and new product development teams as appropriate).
- Lead/Manage quarterly and annual budget standard cost release process for NA.
Manufacturing Variance
- Lead the weekly/monthly analytics of NA manufacturing variance.
- Work with NA mill/plant teams on understanding and improving manufacturing variance.
Fort Smith Support
- Be an active member of the Fort Smith team, providing support as required.
- Provide month-end accounting support to NA Finance team as required
- Provide support to other finance, Operations, Division, and Corporate Staff team members as required.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Finance, or a combination of related education and analytic's experience.
- Minimum of 7 years Financial Analysis experience, in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent analytical skills, with a high-level of attention to details.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage personnel effectively, providing performance.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment across geographic boundaries.
- Proficient in usage of Microsoft Office software applications
