Database Administrator (Southlake, TX), Inspect performance of databases, ensure smooth & reliable op, may involve troubleshooting issues, make adjustments, or assist w/migrations & upgrades. Perf Opt: Analyze database's performance metrics to ensure optimal eff, involves fine-tuning & optimizing queries, indexes, & server configs. Data Security & Integrity: Implement & maint security measures to protect sensitive data. Ensure data is consistent, correct, & accessible only by authorized personnel. Backup & Disaster Recovery: Mng & maint backup systs to prevent data loss in the event of a database failure, may incl planning & testing disaster recovery procedures. Data Modeling & Design: Assist in dsgn & creation of new databases or mods to existing ones, reqs understanding biz needs & translate them into database structs. Collab w/Devel Teams during dsgn & creation of new apps & systs, may incl providing input on database structs, storage, security, & other considerations. Documentation: Keep detailed records of database's struct, configs, & mgmt procedures to ensure continuity of ops & to aid troubleshooting. Training: Train other mbrs of staff on how to correctly & effectively interact w/the database syst, enhancing overall productivity. Upgrading Systms: Keep abreast of new techs & s/w updates, & implement upgrades to enhance database performance & security. Min exp: Bach's deg in Comp Sci, IT, or a reltd field; 60 mnths exp as Database Admin; 5 yrs exp in SQL, 2 yrs exp in managing & securing databases, 3 yrs of leadership exp incl. managing tech projs or leading a team of 3 to 5 of database admins or other IT profl's.
