Research Coordinator
Position: 1 in AL and 1 in SC.
The Department of Health Services Management and Policy at the East Tennessee State University College of Public Health is recruiting for two full-time Research Coordinator positions to support the research and evaluation activities of a clinic-based multi-year longitudinal study aimed at evaluating initiatives to reduce unintended pregnancy. One of the Research Coordinator positions will be primarily based in South Carolina, and one will be primarily based in Alabama. The Research Coordinators will be responsible for all study aspects related to patient recruitment and retention and data collection at multiple clinic sites.
Key responsibilities include:
- Recruiting, screening and obtaining informed consent from participants on-site in participating clinics
- Administering surveys to research participants: 1) on-site in participating clinics; and 2) electronically following the participant's clinic visit
- Tracking and maintaining contact with enrolled participants across the longitudinal study period
- Collecting, maintaining, organizing, protecting and managing study data
- Attending project-related meetings and conference calls
- Assisting with completion of Institutional Review Board (IRB) requirements
- Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with participating clinic staff
The Research Coordinators will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of investigators, staff and research assistants. Travel to meetings and participating in study sites is expected.
