Office Manager / Bookkeeper
The Office Manager/Bookkeeper is responsible for the day to day operations at a locally owned landscape/lawn maintenance company with about 35 employees. This position assists 5 managers to maintain good customer service for our clients. Position will be 30 – 40 hours a week, Monday –Friday. Flexible schedule available. Health Insurance Available.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable – coding, posting and paying all incoming invoices, plus sales tax and other quarterly taxes.
- Accounts Receivables – printing and mailing monthly invoices, receiving payments, customer service phone calls, collections, Bank deposits.
-Payroll – new hire paperwork, weekly payroll and timesheets, quarterly taxes, yearly W2’s and other HR duties
-General Ledger – maintain all quickbooks ledgers and accounts, year-end preparation of financials for accountant.
-Scheduling software data entry – post new workorders , enter completed jobs., enter new contracts
-Maintain all paperwork for our fleet of vehicles and trailers
-General Office Duties
Qualifications:
-Minimum 5+ years' experience as a bookkeeper
-Associates degree in Accounting is a plus but not required. Practical experience over a degree is preferred
-Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
-Proficient in QuickBooks or other accounting software.-Scheduling software knowledge a plus
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
-Detail oriented and demonstrates a high level of accuracy
-Ability to prioritize work and meet established deadlines
-Ability to work independently & collaboratively
-Ability and desire to work in a small office and wear many hats on any given day
- Working vehicle is needed to go to the bank, post office and purchase office supplies
