Duties: Under general direction, develops, codes, tests and debugs new complex software solutions or enhancements to existing software in a maintenance capacity. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related and 5 year’s post-bachelor’s progressive experience in all of the following: Programming in Java, including thorough working knowledge of Collections; Conducting Java concurrent programming (threads/synchronization), Generics; Working with relational DB (Oracle preferred) and SQL; Using Software development tools: Code editors (such as Ecliplse or IntelliJ), and source code control systems (SVN or GIT); Working with profilers, debuggers, JVM monitoring and diagnostic tools; Unix/Linux experience at a user level; Working with Bash or Python scripting; Applying TDD practices, code refactoring, continuous integration and agile methodology to develop software enhancements and maintenance of existing software. 10% International and Domestic Travel Required.
