Senior Internal Auditor
Position Summary
Direct and supervise all components of the Internal Audit and Advisory Services staff. This includes developing the audit programs, planning audits, reviewing the work of subordinates, evaluating subordinates, writing reports/findings, and delivering the reports/findings to the appropriate auditees. Position provides coaching and feedback on work product of subordinates.
Essential Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities
- Lead, direct, and work on projects and perform responsibilities of the department in the absence of the Director of Internal Audit, review of workpapers pertaining to audits/reviews of the department
- Organize and run meetings with Department heads/auditees to communicate/develop audit plan.
- Report writing and delivery of findings to department heads/auditees.
- Education and development of I/A staff.
Knowledge, Skills or Abilities
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Strong analytical skills, ability to draw conclusions, and comfort in presenting findings to all levels of the organization
- Ability to supervise and teach student employees
- Independent work ethic and ability to manage time and project deadlines
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with major in Accounting or related field. Degree must be conferred at the time of application.
The following experience is required:
- 2 years’ experience in auditing
Salary
Full-time, Administrative staff position available. Administrative Grade Level 357. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Full benefit package available.
