Grants and Contracts Associate
Position Function:
Supports the pre-award and post-award activities of the Grants and Contracts Office
Requirements:
Education: High school diploma, bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience: At least one year of professional experience managing complex electronic documents (proposals for funding and/or legal documents) and customer service in a professional office.

Maintains confidentiality and follows policies and procedures related to personnel and client records and confidential employee information required for grants and contracts
Key Expectations/Responsibilities:
- Provides administrative support for the Grants and Contracts Office
- Maintains professional attitude in all interactions with internal and external customers
- Gathers data for proposals as requested by the Grants and Contracts Office staff and/or internal customers
- Completes documents required by funding awards and prepares documents for signature including contracts
- At the time of award, requests the completion and submission of required post-award financial documents from the Finance Department, including but not limited to budget, budget narrative, financial exhibits and other financial documents and submits them to the funder
- Receives documents (including financial, human resources, insurance and programmatic documents) required by funding awards and requests their completion by sending them to other departments
- Prepares contracts for signatures as requested by other Grants and Contracts Office staff and submits them to external customers and verifies their receipt
- Assists the Senior Grants and Contracts Coordinator in preparing and managing post-award monitoring documentation and follow-up
- Creates and maintains electronic files for each funding award containing all pre- and post-award documentation in an organized, standardized format
- Ensures the completeness and accuracy of all funding award electronic files on an ongoing basis and completes electronic filing on a weekly basis
- Maintains the Grants and Contracts Spreadsheet on the G drive, updating it weekly
- Maintains the spreadsheet of all tasks and deadlines of the Grants and Contracts Team on the G drive, updating it weekly
